HITS gGmbH

EML Research is a private research institute focussing on Information Technology and its applications. It was established in 2003 by Klaus Tschira. EML Research is an "offspring" of European Media Laboratory GmbH, in that all research activities in the areas of basic research were transferred to the newly founded, non-profit EML Research. The institute´s aim is to develop innovative information processing systems that combine highly sophisticated technology with optimum user-friendliness. Fields of research are: computational biology,biophysics, bioinformatics, databases for scientific applications, and computational linguistics.
