Founded by H.R. Jakobi and a group of specialists serving in surgical instruments for more than 30 years ELCON MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS GmbH is an ISO certified and FDA registered manufacturer and worldwide distributor of top quality surgical instruments. The comprehensive product line includes more than 28.000 different surgical instruments for all surgical disciplines. This program is constantly updated by own developments with well known surgeons and according to the needs of the company's customers.
ELCON divided the production into a number of manufacturing plants with approximately 230 employees in total. For the production of surgical instruments the company uses German forgings only. For the instruments which ELCON does not manufacture by itself the company purchases from approved and constantly controlled manufactures.
