  • Dr. Barbara Jonischkeit and Dr. Claudia Luther take over the management of the state agency - 17/12/2024

    For 22 years, Prof. Dr. Ralf Kindervater has been the Managing Director of BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg, the state agency that provides expertise to politics and state institutions in the fields of the healthcare industry, biotechnology, medical technology and the pharmaceutical industry. On January 1, 2025, he will hand over the reins to Dr. Barbara Jonischkeit and Dr. Claudia Luther.

  • BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg publishes first results of a new WifOR study - 11/09/2024

    The industrial healthcare sector (iGW) plays a central role in the economy in Baden-Württemberg. In 2021, the sector generated a direct gross value added of 19.6 billion euros, which corresponds to around a third (32.6%) of the entire regional healthcare industry.   • The start of a transnational cooperation for a future of sustainable healthcare - 25/07/2024

    The HACK-IT-NET (“Health And Care Knowledge and Innovation Transfer NETwork”) project aims to provide holistic and seamless healthcare for all patients in the Alpine region. The project, which was launched in July 2024 and will run for three years, aims to bring together stakeholders in the healthcare sector to create a forward-looking healthcare ecosystem in the Alpine region. BIOPRO is a partner.

  • Baden-Württemberg receives the EU Commission's "Regional Innovation Valley" label - 01/07/2024

    The EU research project PRECISEU, which started in June 2024 and will run for five years, aims to connect innovation ecosystems across Europe and advance personalised medicine throughout Europe. BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg is one of 25 partner organisations from 11 European countries that are working on the further development of customised healthcare as part of the research project.

  • Press release - 24/04/2024

    BIOPRO has been supporting Baden-Württemberg as a healthcare location for many years and provides important incentives for its further development.  The state company has been a member of the Council of European Bioregions (CEBR) network since April 2024. Within the CEBR, BIOPRO aims to network with European cooperation partners in order to provide even better support for the innovative capacity of the healthcare industry in Baden-Württemberg.
