Rapid innovation is crucial for success in today’s demanding business world. Innovating at speed and scale is a daunting challenge, for which there is a solution: collaboration. Baden-Württemberg and the United Kingdom offer a multifaceted network of excellent companies, academic and business-oriented research and thus excellent conditions for collaborations.

To bolster transnational collaboration between the United Kingdom and Germany, Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will work with Germany’s Federal Ministry For Economic Affairs And Climate Action, to invest up to £4 million in innovation projects. This grant complements already existing initiatives such as Eurostars, which also aims to support European cooperation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in research and development projects. Both calls are open to all topics.

Join us for this online seminar as we welcome speakers from Innovate UK and Eurostars who will introduce both grants and their scope of financial support. During the second half we focus on the healthcare industry and life sciences: One Nucleus, a not-for-profit life sciences & healthcare membership organisation headquartered in Cambridge, and BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH, Baden-Württemberg’s state agency for the healthcare industry and life sciences, will provide an industry overview of both regions. Both organisations as well as Baden-Württemberg International and the event partners provide a gateway to a huge robust network of potential collaboration partners.

Baden-Württemberg is one of the healthcare industry hotspots in Europe and Germany and one of the most innovative in Europe with more than 1,000 companies researching, developing and/or producing here. The highly innovative healthcare industry is enriched by a diverse and powerful academic research landscape.

Home to 17 Nobel Prize winners in life sciences since 2000, Cambridge is at the forefront of game-changing fields such as Precision Medicine, AI/Machine Learning in Healthcare and Medical Robotics as they emerge from academic theory to practical application.

This event is co-hosted by the BWUK-Office of Baden-Württemberg International, the central location marketing agency for business and science in and for Baden-Württemberg, and BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH.
