Meet & Match – Hospital of the future
BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg and BioValley France organise their 21st Meet & Match, this time together with the department "Clinical Health Technologies" of the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA). Don't miss the interesting mix of presentations from medical technology, applied science and hospitals about the topic "Hospital of the future".
What will the hospital of the future look like? Intelligent diagnostics, smart devices, connected and efficient operating rooms and personalized medicine will enable patient-centred, smart and sustainable healthcare. The basis for innovative, digital technologies is the integration, exchange and usage of (big) data and the implementation of an interoperable infrastructure. The networking event will focus on a future vision of healthcare with an optimized hospital patient pathway. Presentations from medical device industry, research institutions and the hospital ecosystem will provide further insights into exciting research and development projects that highlight different diagnostic, therapeutic and technological approaches.
Target audience:
The Meet & Match addresses (applied) research institutions, companies and start-ups as well as the hospital ecosystem – from the French Grand Est and German Baden-Württemberg region. The aim is to make new contacts, encourage participants to work or to develop together as well as to gain a common understanding of the vision, opportunities and challenges of the hospital of the future. The lunch and coffee break will provide extensive networking opportunities.
Call4Speakers – Short presentation session:
During the Short presentation session participants may introduce their company or research group within 3 minutes to enable intense networking opportunities. The number of short presentations is limited and the session is arranged for research institutions or companies being active in R&D or production. Selection is made by the organisers.
Guided Tour:
In addition to the lecture programme and the opportunities for intensive networking, a guided tour provides insights into the following projects at the Universitätsmedizin Mannheim:
- Test and Development Center for Digital Patient Admission Systems TEDIAS
Within the project TEDIAS, automated systems are being developed to make the admission of patients more efficient. The aim is to automate the routine processes involved in medical admissions at a clinic so that staff are relieved, duplicate queries are avoided and high-quality data is generated at the same time.
- INSPIRE Living Lab
On the Living Lab station patients in urology and orthopaedics are treated. Numerous test settings are available here for companies and start-ups to test and further develop their digital health products in the clinical environment.
- Experimental Hybrid OR
The Experimental Hybrid OR serves as a technology development platform in a clinical setting, allowing companies to easily transfer their ideas/scenarios from development to clinical application.
Registration:
The event will take place in Mannheim, Germany. The participation is free of charge. For organisational reasons, prior registration is requested. Therefore, please fill out the registration form.
Event language is English.
