Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are becoming more and more prevalent in our daily lives. The pharmaceutical industry aims to optimize the development of drugs and therapies using AI. The potential applications and chances of AI include more precise forecasts in drug research, lower development expenses and more efficient processes in the lab or for the production.
BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg together with Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA are organising a two-day event on the topic "Application Potential of Artificial Intelligence in the Pharmaceutical Industry". The event kick-off takes place on 22 April 2021 and is entitled "AI in use in the pharmaceutical industry – day 1". After the keynote by Prof. Dr Marco Huber from Fraunhofer IPA, two best practise examples of AI applications will be provided by renowned pharmaceutical companies including Boehringer Ingelheim. In the afternoon, experts will give insights and discuss the challenges of implementing AI, such as cybersecurity and regulatory aspects.
On 6 May 2021, the event continues with "Meet & Match: AI in the pharmaceutical industry – day 2" which is dedicated to networking and matchmaking. Are you looking for new ideas, contacts or cooperation partners to support the implementation of your AI project? Do you possess expertise in AI topics? Apply for a short presentation of your research, company or project and take part in the Pitch session. Pitches are reserved for cooperation needs and offers in research and development. Selection is made by the organising team. In the following, attendees can network and get in touch with the referees or other attendees.
