BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg and BioValley France invite you to the 22nd Meet & Match Event, which this year is dedicated to the topic of "Gender Medicine: Biological insights and healthcare advances". Experts from research, industry and clinics will shed light on gender-specific differences in medicine and their influence on personalised therapies and the future development of medicine. We invite you to make valuable contacts and expand your network again this year.
How will gender-specific differences be implemented in medicine in the future? Society is becoming increasingly aware of the risk of misinterpreting symptoms based on gender in the event of acute emergencies such as heart attacks. However, the great potential that gender-specific diagnosis and treatment of patients offers for personalised medicine is not yet being exploited. The interdisciplinary field of gender medicine aims to change this. By tailoring medical technologies and therapies to the individual needs of all genders, the aim is to make healthcare more effective and fairer. Presentations from the medical technology industry, research institutions and the hospital ecosystem will provide further insights into exciting research and development projects that highlight various diagnostic, therapeutic and technological approaches.
Target group:
The Meet & Match is aimed at research institutions, companies and start-ups as well as the hospital ecosystem - from the French Grand Est and the German region of Baden-Württemberg. The aim is to make new contacts, initiate collaboration and cooperation and generate a common understanding of a vision of the opportunities and challenges of gender-equitable medicine of the future. During a networking lunch and coffee break there will be the opportunity for intensive networking.
Call4Speakers - Short Presentation Session:
During the Short Presentation Session, participants can present their company or research group within 3 minutes to enable successful networking. The number of short presentations is limited and the event is aimed at research institutions or companies active in research and development or production. The selection will be made by the organisers. Registration for the Short Presentation Session will be open soon. You can apply for this until 15th of November 2024.
